I wanted to be Popular. LOL
For many people, being popular means being a part of a "clique" or in with the "in crowd." But guess what? I learned that being popular really means being yourself and being able to get along with a lot of different kinds of people and personalities. It means that you are liked because of who you are, your talents, your personality, your sense of humor, your kindness, your company... whatever. Being your own person is the way to go! Its more impressive than wearing the same clothes, hanging out at the same places, and doing the same things they do. Really, who wants to be a total copycat? The key is to find a group of people who enjoy hanging out with, whether they're part of the "in crowd" or not. I'll tell you a little secret though, it may come as a surprise, but kids in the "in crowd" dont have as many real friends as you may think. "Getting in" to a clique is never easy, a lot of girls are scared of losing their "place" once they have been accepted, and sometimes they can do some pretty mean stuff in order to keep that "place." Well, imagine not being able to trust anyone because they might backstab you and try to ruin your rep, just to secure their position in the group! I mean who needs that? You're way better off being nice to everyone and having real friends who you can trust!
